Sometimes Surrender Turns Into Victory Forced To Be The Sex Slave Of An Alien Warrior, Perpetual Bad Boy, Joel, Finds Himself Tossed Into The Bed Of A Space Station Commander Who Tests Even Joel S Cultivated Bravado While He Learned To Survive An Abusive Father, The Travian Proves To Be A Greater Challenge Joel Soon Finds Himself Caught Between The Desperate Need To Fight His Captivity And The Unnerving Tug Of Attraction He Feels For His New MasterBorn To One Of The Lower Castes Of His People, Arath Has Worked His Way Up To A Coveted Command His Drive For Success Has Left Him Isolated From His Crew He Has No Time Or Interest In Caring For The Pesky Human Pet Thrust Upon Him By His Superior His Duty Allows Him No Other Choice, So He Reluctantly Takes What Has Been Given To Him He Is Surprised By How Easily He Is Seduced By His Pet S AllureJoel And Arath Dance Around Each Other And Their Growing Attraction, Until Politics Intrudes And Tests Their Tentative Feelings The Stakes Are Suddenly Raised, And The Choices They Make May Change The Course Of History For Both Of Their Species Reader Advisory This Book Contains Sex Scenes Of A Non Consensual Nature, As Well As Scenes Of Dubious Consent, Violence, Abuse And Torture 3.25 I liked this one way better than the first.I enjoyed that Joel and Arath actually got to know each other and through Joel s friendship with Wen we learntabout the Travian race, so they wererelatable Joel s transformation from rebellious to partner was done a lot better and withtime and effort. I was looking forward to this second installment in Samantha Cayto s Alien Slave Masters series as I enjoyed the first novella, its world building, and the characters I will say that the publisher has provided a reader advisory at the end of the description, and if any of those situations make you uncomfortable, then this might not be the book or series for you.I admired the heck out of Joel when I first met him Strong, and full of pride, he took nothing the Travians did cowering Oh no, he I was looking forward to this second installment in Samantha Cayto s Alien Slave Masters series as I fought every moment of his time with Firth Joel isn t gay, and I wouldn t classify him as bisexual as he just isn t interested, so being the pet of a large alien who uses him isn t something Joel is very amenable to Now, however, Firth is very ill and their ship has docked at a space station for him to get medical treatment, and Firth insisted Joel accompany him The female governor of the station, however, doesn t allow Joel to remain with Firth, and instead gives him to the station commander, Arath Travians are a matriarchal society and their commands must be obeyed.Oh was Joel wrong in his first impressions of Arath Arath is remarkably compassionate under his aloof exterior, one that he must keep at all times in order to not show weakness to the men who serve under him Arath is very young to have gotten such an elite command and there is nothing he won t do to ensure he keeps it and continues to rise in rank Arath confuses Joel with his compassion and kindness, and Joel is horrified when his body begins to react pleasurably to his master Both Arath and Joel are confused by the feelings they develop for the other.I really enjoyed Joel and Arath s story There were many cultural differences that they each had to muddle through, and much like in book one, Joel helps the Travians to escape a bloody coup I definitely liked the slow development of their feelings for each other, and I look forward toin this series Another exciting action adventure in space NOTE This book was provided by Pride Publishing for the purpose of a review on Rainbow Book Reviews 4 Stars, 5 Kell s ship and is glad that there will be nosex with any of the boys without permission that is until Firth falls ill and he is taken to a nearby station Joel accompanies him and soon realizes he should have stayed on the ship The governor Lailth decides the human pet needs to be confined but concedes as long as he is under the commander s hand, Arath Joel is once again forced upon by a new master but he finds out that Arath, although bigger and stronger than Firth, he makes Joel feel safe He also befriends another Travian, Wen, who helps him understand the Travian way Arath has worked his way up the ladder to commander despite his house and caste and he feels the human pet as a burden However, astime is spent together, they start to feel for the other but both skirt around it Joel is straight but he can t seem to fight his desire or budding love for Arath In a strange turn of events, Joel ends up helping find traitors and save the Travian race on the station Despite this book still having an underlying dark theme of rape, nonconsensual and dubious consent it was interesting to read this Sci Fi romance Joel s treatment also was better than what he grew up with which does not give it the okay but when asked if he wanted to be free from his captor he denied He knows that he has grown from the rebellious boy and isconfident in who he is now than ever before It makes him all the stronger for it His life is better with Arath who will fight for, care for, and love Joel like no other A dark happily ever I was gifted a copy of this from the JeepDiva in exchange for an honest review The opinions and ratings are solely my own 3.75 I like this alien master human slave series It s a quick read that is sexy The plot was fairly similar to the first novella and the conflict was resolved too quickly and the end zoomed up, but still enjoyed the world and the characters. 4 stars another super fast read It s kinda addictive Read warnings not for everyone Was a fan of Joel in Book 1 I liked no female mate in this one I will continue with this series for sure 4 Hearts A copy was provided by the author in exchange for an honest reviewThe second story in the Alien his Master Firth, who is suffering an illness that requirescare than is available on their own ship Joel is a defiant pet, but has reached an accord with Firth, and has not been raped since Kell, the Commander of their ship, mandated that no pet be forced, although they are still kept as pets As Firth is weak and cannot care for him, Joel is given to the Station Commander Arath, against Arath s wishes, and Arath will do his duty as demanded by Lalith, the Commanding female onboard No such consent mandate is in effect on the space station As Arath partakes in Joel s body, he starts to develop feelings for the young human pet, and wishes Joel was less unwilling.I have not read the first in this series, and there are few things that would have been easier to follow if I had That didn t diminish my enjoyment of this story though The character development was nice and solid I got a lot of glimpses into the first book, based on references in this one I think I would enjoy it just as much, but to save other readers the hassle, I would suggest starting from the beginning The plot was strong, and the world building worked well Even without the back story, the world was richly described and I got what I needed from this story Joel s development from captive sex slave to willing lover was believable Arath s behaviour towards him as the story progressed worked well in keeping that angle believable There were a few times I was uncomfortable with the way Joel was treated, but overall I enjoyed the way this story progressed. The Travians were interesting as a species I would have enjoyed learning a bitabout them I also enjoyed the female led hierarchy That was a nice twist on real life The difference being that I didn t feel the men were oppressed in any way The sex was hot, and I enjoyed the way their coupling changed as the story progressed The discovery of kissing seemed to increase their intimacy.I was slightly annoyed by the amount of references Joel made to his past It seemed to be repetitive It wasn t the reference so much as the wording It seemed like the same thing said over again only changing it a little It was used to reference his ability to endure what was happening to him, but it fell a little flat in the delivery Thankfully it was only minor, and the rest of the story flowed well.I enjoyed this story a lot, and I think I ll go back and read the first story, while waiting for the next This has a few triggers that will be problematic for some, but those who enjoy capture slave sci fi, this isn t anyintense than any others out there Triggers are rape, dub con, and domestic abuse of a secondary character Bend over and take it, that is all Joel knows as a slave boy to the much bigger and stronger alien warriors Joel is an earth colonist on an uninhabited planet claimed by the Travian Joel decides to get a group of his pals to cause some mischief That totally backfires and now he is butt boy for thick hard cock Too bad Joel is straight and he hates getting anally raped every night This is book two in the series and I enjoyed it thoroughly One does not have to read the first book to under Bend over and take it, that is all Joel knows as a slave boy to the much bigger and stronger alien warriors Joel is an earth colonist on an uninhabited planet claimed by the Travian Joel decides to get a group of his pals to cause some mischief That totally backfires and now he is butt boy for thick hard cock Too bad Joel is straight and he hates getting anally raped every night This is book two in the series and I enjoyed it thoroughly One does not have to read the first book to understand what is going on Still, it is recommended to read the first book for continuity.Let s be clear I have no issues with m m sex, especially when the bottom is ass raped every night Specifically because Joel broke rules and he didn t think there would be consequences Boo hoo hoo I think Joel deserves his punishment Now, Ms Cayto does a little sneaky thing She writes in a backstory for Joel Joel was abused as a child I kind of feel sorry for Joel Still, it does not excuse his behaviour which landed him as a warm hole to be used and abused It is clear Ms Cayto feels similarly since Joel is not set free when the Travian learn about Joel s childhood What does happen is some much need cultural exchange.Joel becomes an admirable character He is a bit young and foolish but he can learn His new owner, Arath, is an ambitious male looking to advance his career He is also a good lover and is surprised at Joel s brutal introduction into the joys of manlove This does turn into a sweet romance with a plot andworld building. There isfemale Travian presence in this story which makes the story interesting The unrest between the sexes is also intriguing Apparently, not all are enamoured with the matriarchal Travian society I cannot help but think of the Star Trek Next Generation Episode, Angel One where the planet is ruled by women One thing is for sure, the Travian females are deadlier than they look After reading this book, I am hooked on this series and can t wait to read the next one Recommended to m m space opera readers who enjoy dub con
